The Evelyn: Senior Collection Look 5
The Evelyn consists of two powerful pieces, each inspired by a pioneer of aviation.
The Evelyn Jumpsuit:
Evelyn Desevrsky was a popular and respected pilot of the 1920's and 30's. She lived on Long Island and kept all her planes at Roosevelt Field. Evelyn's signature jumpsuit is displayed at the Cradle of Aviation Museum on Long Island. The aviation details and functional elements of her jumpsuit inspired the tactical details and developments of The Evelyn Jumpsuit.
The Doris Hat Luggage:
Doris Lockness was employed at Douglas Aircraft as a Liaison Engineer on the C-47 airplane during the beginning of WWII. She then joined the WASP in 1943, and her husband divorced her for doing so. In 1984 she was the first female pilot to receive the Legion of Merit Award.
