The Georgina: Senior Collection Look 2

The Georgina consists of two powerful pieces, each inspired by a pioneer of aviation.

The Georgina Parachute Dress:

Georgina Ann Thompson, also known as Tiny Thompson, was the first women to parachute out of a plane in 1913 in Los Angeles. She assisted in parachute research and co-designed with Charles Broadwick during WWI with the U.S. Army Air Corps. The Georgina parachute dress embodies the shape and fluidity of a parachute while also utilizing paracords to make drawstrings and belting details.

The Cornelia Clutch:

Cornelia Fort was flight instructor in Hawwii near Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 and survived. She was also involved with the WAFS (Women’s Auxiliary Flying Squadron) which took new planes from factories to military bases.
